Integrated solution for sewage treatment plant upgrading and reconstruction
Technical Background
With the emphasis on water ecology, various provinces and cities have introduced more stringent emission policies than the "Discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant" (GB 18918-2002). Urban wastewater treatment plants are facing new development demands for upgrading and reconstruction, and local governments are increasingly supporting the upgrading and reconstruction of wastewater treatment plants. In response to policy requirements and industry challenges, the company has developed new processes to upgrade and retrofit wastewater treatment equipment without interrupting water flow, ensuring compliance with stringent wastewater discharge standards.
Technical Introduction
This technology is based on the original activated sludge process of wastewater treatment plants, where new modules are installed in the existing tanks through in-situ upgrades without interrupting the water flow. This enables the upgrading and reconstruction of wastewater treatment plants to meet higher standards.
Technical Advantages
  • Excellent water quality
After the upgrade, the COD and TN contents in the effluent treated by the wastewater treatment plant are further reduced, with high nitrogen removal efficiency, and the effluent meets Class A standards or stricter local standards.
  • Small footprint
The new module only needs to be installed in existing tanks, while the integrated nitrogen removal equipment requires a small footprint, covering an average of about 50m2 per 10,000 tons/day.
  • High treatment capacity
The treatment capacity of the wastewater treatment plant can be increased by 20%-50%.
  • Easy maintenance
The module reduces the difficulty of operation as well as the number of operating personnel.
  • Low operation cost
The solution features a significant reduction in sludge production, reduced sludge treatment costs, and reduced energy consumption per cubic meter of water treated, with aeration rate reduced by 20%-30%.
Applications
  • Municipal sewage treatment plant
  • Industrial sewage treatment station
